The Golden Rock (Kyaik-Hti-Yo) is a scared, massive gold-leafed boulder delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff and is topped by a small stupa at the top of Mount Kyaik-Hti-Yo. It was built in the year 574BC more than 2500 years ago and now well known as Miracle Golden Rock and which starting at pilgrim-village.
Kyaikhtiyo, better known as Golden Rock Pagoda, is 166 km northeast of Yangon. It is a boulder precariously perched on the edge of the hill over 1100 meters above sea level . Believed to shrine the sacred hair relic of the Buddha, it is probably the third most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Myanmar.
